Today, the Kostanay Academy honored the memory of Darkhan Bazarbayev. On January 19, 2020, Darkhan Bazarbayev died in the line of duty at the hands of a family brawler in Kostanay region. For courage and heroism in the line of duty, by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Darkhan Bazarbayev was awarded the Order of "Aybin" III degree (posthumously). Since then, this date has become the Hero's Memorial Day. In 2022, the Darkhan Bazarbayev auditorium was opened at the Kostanay Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Shrakbek Kabylbayev. The Department of Image Work and Internal Communications, together with the training and combat unit of the Academy, held a Hero's Memorial Day. The event was attended by Darkhan Bazarbayev's colleagues, on that tragic day, the inspector of the patrol police service, senior police Lieutenant Amangeldy Syzdykov, who was next to his partner, and the platoon commander of the Kostanay district police department, police captain Kairat Tasmagambetov.
