Meeting with representatives of UNODC

On April 28 of this year, the Regional Adviser on Counterterrorism of the U.S. Government's Counterterrorism Bureau, Theodore Craig, and the Head of the UNODC Office in Kazakhstan, Madina Sarieva, paid a working visit to Kostanay Academy. A working meeting was held between representatives of UNODC in Kazakhstan and the leadership, faculty, and national trainers. During the meeting, special attention was paid to improving the effectiveness of training in the penal correction system and developing new training formats. Representatives of UNODC expressed interest in further cooperation, noting the high level of training of the Academy and the willingness to implement joint training activities. The meeting was an important step towards strengthening the partnership between the Academy and international structures aimed at developing the professional competencies of law enforcement officers and introducing best practices in the field of the penal enforcement system.
